At the Haitian Timoun Foundation, we help Haitians break free from poverty by providing life-giving investment and empowerment to write a new story. Working with trusted local partners in Haiti, we help fund and support programs that encourage and empower its people to create lasting, generational change. We are called to nourish the human spirit in Haiti and help pave a pathway so ALL Haitians feel valued and thrive! 

Empowering Women In rural Haiti, women living on the margins of society who live in extreme poverty (no stable home, acute hunger and no support), now have the chance to lift their families out of ultra-poverty and find hope for the future through the Chemen Lavi Miyo (CLM), or "pathway to a better life," program. When women enter the 18-month graduation program, they gain essential life skills, and learn to create and manage a sustainable small commerce that provides for their family. Through the program, they gain courage, confidence, and dignity as they are mentored and coached by an assigned case manager who meets with them multiple times a month to help set goals, manage challenges and build her confidence and resilience. Their strength and determination not only transform their families, but also inspire confidence and optimism in their communities. 

Investing in Children Our movement of everyday heroes supports HTF Child Sponsorship, which provides tuition, supplies, and after school enrichment activities for primary school-aged children and high school students in Haiti. Our community provides life-giving investment for Haiti's youth not only for quality education and nutrition, but it also fosters an environment for curious minds. Generational change begins with Haiti's youngest people! 

Developing Leaders Change in Haiti requires bold, new leaderships. We invest in Haiti's promising youth by providing full university scholarships for students in the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP), professional development, and leadership training. These young men and women will work towards a more just and equitable Haiti.
