1001 Colors (Formerly ArtWorks)

1001 Colors is an award-winning Greater Cincinnati nonprofit that creates community-based public art that provides career opportunities for artists of all ages.

1001 Colors collaborates with community organizations and residents, businesses, governments, foundations, and nonprofits to build creative works of art that bolster the region’s global reputation as an arts destination. 1001 Colors employs professional artists who inspire and mentor diverse teams of youth, ages 14-24, helping them build 21st-century career-readiness skills. These teams have completed more than 14,000 public and private art projects in its 29 years, including more than 350 permanent outdoor murals.

Every project changes lives – building skills, confidence, and opportunity. With federal arts funding shrinking and one-third of our budget coming from public sources, your year-end gift matters more than ever. Your support directly fuels our mission to employ, inspire, and uplift the next generation of creative workers.

Help us keep this momentum going!
