Banklick Watershed Council: Restoring Water, Revitalizing Community

The Banklick Watershed Council is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, powered by community volunteers since 2002. We're united by a single mission: to restore and protect the health of Banklick Creek and its surrounding watershed.

Why the BWC?

The Banklick Watershed Council is proud to be the only nonprofit in Northern Kentucky dedicated to clean water. Our ability to work across city and county boundaries—combined with strong partnerships with local municipalities and other organizations—allows us to address complex environmental challenges effectively.

We focus on tangible improvements that benefit everyone in the community. This includes:

  • Beautifying our community by creating and restoring public green spaces.
  • Improving water quality by reducing trash and pollution.
  • Controlling erosion and flooding by managing stormwater runoff.

Through science-based, sustainable methods, and support from grants and private donations, we're making our community a healthier, more beautiful place to live. For more information on our current projects and the type of work we do, please visit our website and read about our Brushy Fork Nature Preserve and the Wolsing Wetland.

Healthy Waters, Thriving Communities.
