Breakthrough Cincinnati Inc

Breakthrough Cincinnati inspires and prepares talented, but under-represented students for college while developing the next generation of teachers.   Last summer 220 6th - 9th grade students joined our one-of-a-kind summer program where they learned math, science, social studies, language arts and electives while developing friendships that will last a lifetime.   Our students were taught by 68 Teaching Fellows who received professional training and coaching as they determined whether education is the right path for them.   Our student enrichment continues throughout the school year as we support our students with tutoring and career and college exploration. 

Your donations help us to offer our program tuition-free, removing barriers of participation for our families.   All supplies, transportation and food is provided for our students.  Our Teaching Fellows receive comprehensive training and a competitive stipend as they determine whether education is the right career for them. 

Impact

Our model works!  Students who attend Breakthrough Cininnati are more likely to matriculate into a 2 or 4 year university vs. our region's largest school district.  And, over half of Teaching Fellows indicate they are more interested in a career in education after their summer at Breakthrough Cincinnati.
