Red Bike

We launched Red Bike in 2014 as a non-profit with the simple goal to get more people on bicycles.  We knew if we achieved that, we would positively affect our community in so many ways – less traffic congestion, a cleaner environment, better health outcomes, more vibrancy, and most of all more smiles.

Over the past 8 years, Red Bikes have been taken on over 750,000 bike rides for an estimated 3.2 million miles! By taking these trips by bike, Red Bike riders have prevented 3.1 million pounds of carbon from entering the atmosphere.  We could never have achieved this success without the help of so many partners and supporters.

Now it is time to take Red Bike to the next level, and we need your help to get there.

We’ve grown to 65 stations this past year, and we have big plans to grow in 2023 & 2024, expanding to new neighborhoods in Cincinnati. We also are pushing toward an all-electric fleet by 2025! Our equitable bike share membership, Red Bike Go, continues to be one of the highlights of our business. In 2022, over 23% of all our rides have been taken by Go users! 

Please consider a tax-exempt contribution to help Red Bike make Greater Cincinnati a better place through bicycles.

•    $1,000 – Helps purchase one third of an e-bike.

•    $500 – Helps 10 low-income individuals ride bikes for a year with Red Bike Go.

•    $250 – Helps replace 10 tires.

•    $100 – Helps replace 5 headlights.

•    $50 – Helps replace 7 handlebar grips.

Red Bike is excited to be gearing up to grow our program and get more people on bikes. With your help, Red Bike will connect more people, in more places, all with a little electric assist.
