Commonwealth Artists Student Theatre Inc

 CAST is on a mission to provide area high school students 21st century work skills through their engagement in the arts. We believe that we can bridge the socio-economic, racial, gender, and geographical hurdles to provide all area high school students the opportunity to collaborate and celebrate through theatre. This year, we are joining forces with the Cincinnati Arts Association and Broadway Across Cincinnati to bring the national high school musical theatre awards, The Jimmys, to Cincinnati!  This program is so much more than just some awards, though. This involvement will provide world class master classes with professional theatre artists, technical theatre workshops, educator support, access to resources, and investment in our region's teens in building a sustainable appreciation for the arts. Help us cultivate the next leader, the next designer, the next engineer, or the next artist by providing the means for all area teens to participate in the Cincinnati Regional High School Musical Theatre Awards!

What are The Jimmys?

                

Our Impact So Far: 

• 125 students participating in 2 summer productions
• 28 area high schools served annually
• 600 students served annually at 3 mentor school programs each year
• 93% of our students go on to higher education pursuits
• Student participants report increased leadership skills, technical understanding, and empathy towards others
• Connected pipeline of local collegiate theatre to perspective students.
• Connected pipeline of employment for students at local and regional theatres.
• 9% of summer participants were scholarship recipients

We served 126 students in our summer productions with an additional 300 students during the school year. The impact of your gifts will be felt directly by the students we serve in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Help us even the playing field for access to arts education and to elevate the opportunities available to area teens.
