Basic Needs Bright Futures Fundraiser 2025
$1,500 Raised
| We're on a mission to Clothe Kids in Confidence, one outfit at a time. |
Because when kids’ basic needs are met, their potential shines.
In America, an estimated 2 in 5 children head to school without the essential clothing items needed to ensure safety, comfort, and confidence. Help us ensure no child is left out simply because of the clothing they wear.
Our Story
|
Founded in 2018 by Amy Vann, Give Like A Mother (GLAM) was built on one mother’s desire to give the clothes she didn’t have and to make sure no child in her community would go without. What started as a simple act of compassion has grown into a movement of mothers, volunteers, and neighbors united by one commitment: to clothe kids in confidence. Through our flagship PACK Program, we provide Personalized, Age-appropriate, Confidence-boosting Kits; a week’s worth of gently used clothing donated by YOU, our amazing community. Each PACK is given to families free of charge, helping children show up to school feeling confident and ready to learn while easing the financial stress facing thousands of families in our region. Though our name is fun and a little bit sassy, it carries with it a serious challenge. In this increasingly expensive world, mothers give everything they can for their children, even the clothes off their back—yet sometimes, even that isn’t enough. |
That’s why we’re asking you: Will you Give Like A Mother and help a child in need?

Our Ask
|
Our ask is simple: we take your gently used clothing and give it new life, transforming what might have been tucked away in a drawer into confidence for a child who needs it most. A simple solution. A profound impact. Clothing changes how kids see themselves. But we can’t do it alone. Not every item can be donated, and that’s where your generosity steps in. The essentials that don’t come through our doors—like new socks, underwear, shoes, or sensory-friendly clothing—are purchased to ensure no child is left out and every PACK feels personal, complete, and full of dignity. |
Most families are only 1 or 2 missed paychecks away from financial hardship. Clothing insecurity isn’t just "their problem," it’s something that can happen to any of us.
A sudden job loss. An unexpected illness. An emergency expense. For many families, it doesn’t take much to tip the balance.
From grandparents and relatives stepping back into parenting unexpectedly, stretching already fixed incomes,
To parents who lose work, forced to choose between rent, food, and clothing,
To new moms with no safety net to lift them up as they welcome a child into the world, we’re here.
At GLAM, we meet families in these moments, providing PACKs of clothing that restore confidence and dignity when it’s needed most.

I’m very grateful. I’m a 64-year-old grandmother raising two grandchildren, and it’s been very rough. The staff was so kind and helpful, they invited me to sit down and offered help when I couldn’t finish the application. They even took the children to the back to keep them busy while helping me. Both girls were so excited, and it truly boosted their confidence. We’re so thankful for the underwear and shoes, it was such a blessing. God bless you, you’re making a huge difference. Thank you. |
My teenage daughter is very picky and you guys did one heck of a job. She is satisfied and that is saying something! I just want to say thank you you reduce stress you put a smile on faces and I have children looking forward to going to school! That in itself is amazing. Thank you to all involved. |
My kids LOVE Seeing those blue bags lol!! Unfortunately they know we don't have a lot of money. So they don't expect new clothes. But it is like Christmas in my house when they get new clothes from GLAM. My 9yr old Got lots of adidas clothes and he was so happy. He knows they are name brand and it builds his confidence because he is big and tall for his age so he stands out. And if people are going to look at him anyways at least he will look good 😀 thank you thank you for what you do. |
