Holly Hill is dedicated to protecting and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. We provide high quality, comprehensive mental and behavioral health services to empower children, adolescents, young adults, their families, and those supporting them with the stability, skills, and tools to thrive.

Since its founding 140 years ago, Holly Hill Children's Services has been committed to providing a positive, secure environment in which troubled and neglected children are nurtured and their physical and emotional needs are met.

Chartered on April 3, 1884, through a special act of the Kentucky General Assembly. Holly Hill was originally known as the Campbell County Protestant Orphan’s Home. The facility was located in Newport, Kentucky, and housed children whose parents had died or were ill and unable to care for them.

In 1952, the home relocated to Cold Spring and changed its name to Holly Hill Children’s Home. We were officially licensed as a residential treatment facility in 1987 to deal with children who suffer from severe emotional and behavioral problems. The vast majority of the children served have been physically or sexually abused. Today, we remain the only agency in Northern Kentucky that specializes in the treatment of adolescent girls in a residential setting.

Holly Hill Children's Services provides therapeutic and support services to our Northern Kentucky community. In fiscal 2012, we served over 2000 children and families through our seven programs:

Residential Treatment: A safe, healing enviornment for foster care youth ages 11-17 to support them in returning to their homes or another setting. All youth are referred by the Kentucky Foster Care System.

Targeted Case Management: A community-based service aimed at providing additional support for individuals in reaching their therapeutic goals. Our Targeted Case Managers can also provide a variety of community resource referrals.

Supervised Visitation: A safe, neutral setting for non-residential parents or others to meet with their children to maintain contact and relationship. Holly Hill supports a variety of counties in the tristate area.

Therapy Services: Remote and in-person therapy services tailored to you and your family’s needs. Our team of highly trained therapists implement a variety of evidence-based practices to best meet your goals.

Holly Hill Children's Services is proud to be affiliated with local, state and national organizations that share our desire to strengthen the lives of children by providing Healing, Help and Hope. We are a nationally accredited organization through COA, the Council on Accreditation which promotes best-practice standards and champions quality services for children youth and families. Holly Hill is also affiliated with the Children's Alliance, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky, the Foster Family-based Treatment Association, and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
