Founded in 2014, Hopeโ€™s Closet serves children in foster care and their foster families through wraparound care, including an expansive clothing boutique and extensive support services.   We LOVE displaced children and their families, PROVIDE encouragement, support, and material needs, and INSPIRE hope in a loving God.  We endeavor to restore broken families through our clothing boutique, foster parent support groups, foster family events, foster parent recruitment and training, foster child celebration activities, and foster parent mentorship.

We provide:

๐Ÿ‘š Clothing, shoes, accessories, toiletries, baby supplies, books, stuffed animals, and more through our clothing boutique.

๐ŸŽ Gifts for special occasions, like foster child birthdays, Easter baskets, back-to-school supplies, and Christmas gifts.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Foster family events, intended for foster children to understand and enjoy the experience of healthy family outings.

๐Ÿ‘ซ Foster parent night out events, designed to give mom and dad much needed "me" time.

๐Ÿ“– Foster parent training sessions and support groups, both in-person and virtual.

๐Ÿ“ฃ New foster parent recruitment through our partnership with Butler County Children's Services.

๐Ÿ™Œ New foster parent mentoring program.

2020: Year in Review

This has been an eventful year!  Our new Executive Director, Jami Clarke, and our wonderful staff have worked very hard this year to navigate this new COVID-19 world.  Given that we are an essential service, we never closed but temporarily changed our model to fill boutique orders and offer virtual training and support sessions.  We've also moved!  In early November, we moved from our original location in Hamilton, Ohio to our new home in West Chester, Ohio.   Our multi-use boutique space is now much larger, affording us the ability to serve many more families and conduct expanded training sessions.

How Can I Help?

Please consider contributing to our mission.  Here's how you can help:

~ Donate Funds!  Monetary donations are essential to providing support for local foster families, including their physical needs (clothing, toiletries, etc.) as well as support services.

~Donate to our Boutique!  We accept new and gently used clothing (underwear and socks must be new), as well as baby supplies, shoes, and accessories.  See our website for a list of items we accept.  See our Facebook page for our current donation needs and check out our Amazon Wish List for items you can purchase and ship directly to us!

~ Volunteer!  We happily welcome new volunteers!  Whether you want to sort donated clothing, assist a foster child in shopping for his/her new clothing, assist our boutique manager in changing over the boutique when seasons change (twice per year), or serve as receptionist for a few hours a week.  Whether you are an individual or group, volunteer opportunities are available!

~ Fundraise!  Our annual fundraising gala is typically held in the fall.  Given the pandemic, it was canceled in 2020 but is expected to return in 2021!  Please consider purchasing tickets (or a table!) and/or joining our gala planning team who coordinates everything from the theme and sponsors to the silent auction and keynote speaker.   Contact us if you'd like to join the planning team and follow us on Facebook for updates.

~ Advocate!  Like, comment on, and share our posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.  Would you like to share our mission with your group or organization?  We believe it is a privilege each and every time we share our mission.  Contact us today if you would like to schedule a (free!) speaking engagement.

Share this page with family friends and get everyone involved! ๐Ÿ’œ

We are grateful for our foster families, volunteers, partners, and donors.  Thank you so much for your contributions!
