Our Mission

At Brighter Days 4 Kids, our mission is to inspire positive change in the lives of local youth through compassion, connection, and community.

The Brighter Days Program

This program reaches out to kids facing adversity — whether they’re coping with illness, loss of a home, entering a new foster placement, or simply need a reason to smile. We offer practical and emotional support through back-to-school supplies, camp scholarships, birthday and Christmas gifts, creating special days for kids who are battling an illness or whose parents are sick, and simple acts of kindness that help brighten their day and remind them they’re valued and loved.

The BDK Scholars Program

Our Scholars engage in diverse volunteer experiences that build cultural awareness, empathy, and leadership. We partner with many local organizations and nonprofits: Queen City Book Bank, Esperanza Latino Center, CPS- Mt Airy, GME & Westwood Elementary, Veterans-Wreaths Across America, Greentownship Senior Citizens  group, A Childs Hope International, Operation Christmas Child, The Miracle League, CRC Therapeutic Rec, FreeStore Foodbank, TOPSoccer, Saturday Hoops, HER Cincinnati and many others great organizations in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

THE FUTURE OF OUR YOUTH

One of our core goals is to “create the volunteers and philanthropists of the next generation.” We believe in shaping culturally aware young people by providing meaningful opportunities to engage with diverse communities and experiences. Through exposure to a variety of volunteer activities—ranging from supporting those facing socioeconomic challenges to assisting individuals with health impairments—our youth develop empathy, understanding, and a broader worldview.

By helping each volunteer discover the type of service that truly resonates with them, we hope to inspire a lifelong commitment to giving back. Leveraging the unique talents of our BDK Scholars and our growing Army of Volunteers, we aim not only to cultivate a passion for community service but also to spark a lasting ripple of kindness, awareness, and positive change throughout our community.
