Who We Are

Since 1972, our mission has been to help individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (I/DD) reach their highest potential educationally, residentially, socially, and vocationally. Our "mission first" service philosophy has led us to create some of the most unique programs offered in inclusive non-institutional environments in Greater Cincinnati. The Point Arc is always looking to integrate programs that give individuals with I/DD the opportunity to become contributing and inclusive members of our community and provide them with the self-esteem and pride that we all seek.

What We Do

We Teach

We offer a range of unique educational classes and workshops for adolescents, teens, adults, and their families. 

We Provide Homes

We provide hope to parents and families whose concern is, "What's going to happen to our son or daughter when we no longer can provide care?". We don't just provide a house; we provide lifelong care in homes within inclusive neighborhoods.

We Fill Social Voids

We offer inclusive opportunities for socialization through supervised weekly activities, seasonal sports, bi-monthly dances, out-of-state vacations, and various community activities.

We Train & Employ

We train and place individuals in community businesses through our Supported Employment Program. We also train and hire at our four established social enterprises: The Point Apparel, The Point Commercial Laundry, Point Perk Cafe, and ZELS Pretzels.

Every Gift Counts!

After 40, 50, and even 60 years, many non-profits continue and maintain their programs under one roof. Most receive only one gas, electric, water, and sanitation bill. 

Setting out to "fill the service gaps," in our 52 years, we have 17 residential properties, four enterprise locations, the Scheben Care Center, our main headquarters for office administration, and the Zembrodt Education Center. The Point Arc pays 24 gas, electric, water, and sanitation bills monthly.
