Vision Works, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating equitable, opportunity-rich communities by advancing economic mobility, affordable housing, and individual empowerment. Our mission is to dismantle structural barriers to prosperity by offering workforce development, job-transition support, entrepreneurship training, digital literacy, and holistic wraparound services — all designed to help individuals and families move from instability to self-sufficiency and generational wealth.

At Vision Works, we believe that everyone deserves a fair shot at success. Our core initiatives include:

• Workforce Training & Career Support: Through programs like “Elevate & Empower” and “Layoff-to-Launch,” we equip job seekers with the skills, coaching, and confidence needed to secure stable employment, advance in their careers, or pivot into entrepreneurship. 

• Entrepreneurship and Economic Inclusion: We support aspiring business owners with training, mentoring, and resources — enabling individuals to build enterprises, create income streams, and contribute meaningfully to community wealth. 

• Affordable Housing & Community Development: We advocate and work toward safe, stable housing as a foundation for economic mobility and community stability. 

• We offer wraparound services, and supportive networks that address not just employment, but also the social and systemic barriers to sustained success.

Our Flagship Gift of Vision Program

Vision Works is proud to lead an innovative initiative that brings life-changing technology to people with visual or reading impairments. Through our Gift of Vision Program, we provide smart glasses and other assistive devices to:

• Individuals who are blind or visually impaired

• People with dyslexia

• Adults and youth with reading disabilities or processing challenges

These AI-powered glasses help users read printed text, recognize objects, interpret their environment, and navigate daily life more independently. For many, this technology restores dignity, enhances safety, expands access to learning and employment opportunities, and dramatically improves quality of life.
