Always Lifting Spirits: Making a Difference with Love

Always Lifting Spirits is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) by providing essential tools that enhance their quality of life today. While other ALS organizations focus on finding a cure, we strive to support individuals for whom a cure may arrive too late. Founded in 2014, Always Lifting Spirits – the Jeff Weber Foundation – was established in memory of Jeff Weber, a Cincinnati resident and Elder class of 1983, who passed away at the age of 48 after a year-long battle with the disease.

Our Mission

Our foundation aims to support ALS patients by supplying lift chairs to enhance their mobility and comfort. Lift chairs offer patients with some ambulatory abilities a break from traditional wheelchairs and assist caregivers in meeting their daily needs.

• Impact So Far:

  •  118 lift chairs, each costing $1,000.

Both of these essential pieces of equipment are not covered by insurance, yet they play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of ALS patients and their caregivers during transfers. Our recipients express immense gratitude upon receiving this equipment, often sharing how their lift chair restores a sense of independence while providing much-needed comfort.
