Whitney/Strong’s mission hits close to home for me. I lost my grandmother to suicide involving an unsecured firearm in the home. That experience shaped how I think about suicide prevention, safe storage, and the importance of creating time and distance during a moment of crisis.
That is a big part of why I’m here. I can’t change what happened to my family, but I can help make sure other families have more time, more options, and a better chance to get through a crisis safely.
